I received a call about a fundraiser for the police and asked if I could donate as little as $10 if they mailed me a brochure. I said to mail it to me first, I’ll pray about it and we’ll see. I was then transferred to a female who tried to get me to give her my debit card info but I reminded her that she was going to mail me something and asked for my address and dob. She asked how much I was going to donate and I told her I needed to pray about it and she couldn’t get off the phone fast enough. I called back later and received the same message about not being able to be reached. I thank the Lord for protecting me from this but I know better now.

I’ve been multiple calls every week, when I am at work, at home. They all start the same way and at least claim to represent many different charities. Two to Three Years ago I did make a donation to police and firefighters. I didn’t do it over the phone, I had them mail me information. Over the last 2 years the calls have been overwhelming. After blocking about 30 numbers they still get through. I don’t care if they are legitimate I’m sick of their approach which now leans toward harassment.

The fund raising center has harassed me for over 4 years now. I made the mistake of making what I thought was a legit contribution to the police Association and they have taken to calling me since then at least twice a week.
Despite many requests to stop calling me they have continued to do so from many different phone numbers.I have tried blocking the numbers but they keep coming from different numbers.

I get a call at least every 2 weeks and it’s always “mike”. I have said everything imaginable to him and he won’t stop calling. I have blocked so many #’s now it is truly ridiculous. I have put my phone on mute and he continues to ask if ***** is there until he hangs up because there is no noise from my end of the phone. I call back and get “the fundraising center” and block the call. This is illegal, why can’t it be stopped?

The fund raising center has harassed me for over 2 years now. I made the mistake of making what I thought was a legit contribution and they have taken to harass me since then .
Despite many requests to stop calling me they have continued to do so from many different phone numbers.I have tried blocking the numbers but they keep coming from different numbers. I started by trying to be nice but I have gone to hanging up on them and to screaming at them..
I am a caregiver and they have called many times during personal care or feeding. This is not only irritating to me but could prove to be a danger to my clients.Because of my job situation I cannot just ignore unrecognized numbers.

I too get multiple, repeated phone calls from this group. Always a different city/town in my state and always a different “charity”. I am sick of this and have tried repeated ways to keep them from calling, including telling them I had passed away. I swear someone HAS to do something about this crap! People should be able to answer their phones if they choose to do so without some lowlifes trying to scam them. The [censored] that keeps calling me, always different city/town and always different charity doesn’t even have the brains to try and disguise his voice, which is distinctive. I’ve called him out on it before thinking he would realize I recognize him but no such luck. Isn’t there anything that can be done…short of me tracking them down and going Chuck Norris on them?

It’s a fully automated computer AI (artificial intelligence) that is designed with preprogrammed responses. It’s very convincing, but try asking it a question completely unrelated to the nature of the call, or tell it something that would make a real persons blood boil, and you’ll get no reaction. REPORT EVERY # TO THE FCC

I have documented over 200 different phone numbers that are called to my number. It’s always the Fundraising center. I have asked numerous times to stop calling my number, I then block the call and I’m still getting calls from them. I work nights and it disrupts my sleep.

I receive sometime 3 calls a day from the Fundraising center. ?it is always a different charity, from police, to firefighters, to breast cancer. I tell them in times like this they have to be crazy. And when I call the number back. It is always the Fundraising Center. I block them on my phone and report them to the National Do Not Call Registry. And they just keep on coming with a new number.

Martin – Apr 08, 2020

I keep getting calls from The Fundraising Center. They use different numbers so even if you block them they will call. If you call the number back and wait long enough it gives you the option to opt out from the fundraising that they are calling about, but not from ever getting calls again. This has to stop!

Marc – Jun 13, 2020

I get them 3 times a day.

yes scam. Beware changed all my passwords on everything and will be watching my cc, phone and utility statements carefully. They asked if I was me and of course I said yes then they hung up. Called back number and you got options to a directory by pressing 9. They they wanted me to press 1 or 2 after that like they are trying to record you pressing the either number. did not press either one. Beware

The caller always asks to speak with Ronald. When I tell him he has the wrong number, he then says, "maybe you can help me". When I press him for more information, he says that there is no message for Ronald and hangs up. The first time this happened, he claimed he was trying to raise money for a State Trooper Charity. I have been called many times by this person, or robo-caller, and he always asks for Ronald. When I call the number back, the voice message states that I have called The Fundraising Center and that nobody can take my call. From my research on-line, this appears to be a sophisticated robo-call.

Fake scam charity – when you try and call back it is busy or a recording that says "unable to take your call"

They will call with a recorded message that sounds relatively real asking "Hi, is (your name) there?" If you say "yes" they hang up. This is part of the scam being used to get people to say "yes" to sign you up for subscriptions and then ask for payment after a period of time. They will use a recording of you saying "yes" to prove that you agreed (when you didn’t). Simply hang-up or avoid saying anything like "yes" or "sure" or "okay".

This number called me. I answered and heard a quick beep. A man then asked, “Hello, is this Molly?” I responded “Yes, this is her”. The caller then hung up. I tried to call back, but it went to a message, stating, “You have reached the fundraising center. We are unable to take your call at this time” and no option was provided to leave a message.

I received at call at 7:40pm on March 12, 2017. The female caller asked for Gary, I told her that she had the wrong number, she then said "Maybe you can help, I am calling for (some breast cancer group) and the girls are counting on your donation, would you be willing to donate?" I did not want to use an affirmative answer, so I said, "I suppose so." The woman said, "Okay, thank you." and hung up. I have called the number back a few times, it is usually busy or I get a recording that I have reached The fundraising Center. I did a reverse search on this, cannot be traced, call originated from a Nonfixedvoip. I also searched for a company in Cleveland by that name, it does not exist.

Caller asked to speak to my wife, I said "yep" and handed her the phone. The caller then hung up. When we tried to call the number back the voicemail stated "The Fundraising Center could not take our call"

On 02/04/17 at approximately 0937 hours, I received a phone call from The Fundraising Center (213-266-9256). I believe the call was automated and it asked "Is this Tony?". I replied, "Yes, this is Tony" and the call ended immediately. I suspect this is one of those phone calls soliciting a "yes" response scam. I blocked the number and will be monitoring my bank accounts for any suspicious charges.

Got call asking, "hello is this (name)?"

I replied "yes" and the number hung up.

Called back and received generic answering machine saying "thank you for calling the fundraising center, we are currently busy"
