Type of a scam Employment

Craig’s list employement opportunity that ended up being extremely suspicious, although at first sounded legit and reasonable. Gave this man my personal information including social security number. 1 month into starting employment I start to feel increasingly uncomfortable with his sub par business practices as he is never available or around any time to discuss important business matters, is completely unfocused and unorganized and when there is communication between us it is totally contrary to previous information he has given me, as well as severe mood swings. He is now making it extremely difficult to collect my payment for work I’ve done, saying it will be on a certain date then changing his mind saying he will be out of town or I am not fulfilling my imaginary requirements, so it will be a later date. I haven’t received payment yet. He also at one point said he was sleeping at the place of work to save money and regularly disregarded CA law stating no massage appointments scheduled after 10 pm, saying he regularly seeing clients after 10 pm. Which makes me feel extremely uncomfortable as this can look like prostitution and I don’t want to be associated with that as a CMT who takes my job very seriously. When I interviewed the office being used was light filled, and well ventilated seeming legitimate and when I started actually working it was in a tiny, messy room, bad lighting and no ventilation, and one of the doors is blocked off, in the same building as the room interviewed in. I am sure the 2nd room I worked in must be sub standard building for that specific use (massage therapy). When I ask him to pay me, he gets a very nasty unreasonable attitude.
