Type of a scam Employment

A month ago I was hired by this company to be a shipping inspector, at first I was skeptic but they emailed me documents showing they were in good standing with the treasury and that they are a registered business. When I started to receive packages to inspect I started to believe this was legitimate. They contacted me regularly and I had my own employee dashboard. I had to fill out a form for taxes so I had to provide my social. I would receive a package under someone else’s name and the shipping label to mail out would be under another person’s name, when I questioned it I didnt get a straight answer. A month later when I was supposed to get paid the company disappeared. All numbers disconnected, the website no longer exists, my log in to the dashboard doesnt work and nobody responds to my emails.

Honestly, I thought this was a legit job.

I signed a contract and a W4. After some research, I realized this was fraud and I wouldn’t get paid for the work I’ve been doing for the past month.

These are the managers I report to:

Manager: Edvin Artur [email protected] (862) 300-4748

Supervisor: Hendrik Indrek [email protected] (862) 300-4749

Supervisor: Valter Georg [email protected] (862) 300-4754

I checked the domain (https://us.theboxint.com/) was created ( March 26th 2020) in Latvia and when I saw the first report on ScamPulse.com scam tracker ( April 6th 2020)

I also couldn’t find the MX records of ( [email protected] or [email protected])

lastly, I’ve been receiving financial service letters from different companies, there was even a detailed dashboard that kept track of shipped/received/arriving products and the

The scariest part is that I put my social security on the W4.

Anyway please get these individual arrested, complete waste of my time and anyone else

I’ll paste some things from the dashboard:

Unboxing Policy

While inspecting packages, DO NOT open or unseal product’s original packaging, unless you receive instructions from the management team to do so. You are only allowed to open the outer shipping box (so-called brown box) to count items, check it for any damages and match them against packing list or invoice (if it’s provided) and then take pictures and make copies of paperwork. You take photo of product in its original box. If it’s damaged you report it immediately to your supervisor and wait for further instructions.

The company guarantees our customers that we ship out brand new products. Except for some cases wherein customers order refurbished/open-box products and they are aware of it.

You may receive correspondence addressed to our customers. DO NOT open it or remove its seal. Please report it to your supervisor. Wait for further instructions from management.

We always keep our customer’s correspondence safe and confidential.

Label Placement Guideline

Improperly applied shipping labels can cause scanning problems and affect the quality of tracking data provided by the shipping carriers. The following label placement guidelines will help ensure maximum label scanning and processing.

Always place the label fully and parallel to the longest side of the package without overlapping the side or any other label.

If for some reason, the barcode appears on a separate label from the delivery address, you should place the barcode above or to the left of the delivery address with less than 1/2 inch between the label and the address.

Do not cover the barcodes with tape (unless it is clear) or plastic wrap that may negatively impact readability of these barcodes.

When placing a barcode onto a convex or round object (such as a mailing tube), it is very important that the barcode be placed on the package such that the bars of the barcode are perpendicular to the curve of the item (note: if a parcel curves in more than one direction, you should consider placing the item within a box or other flat-sided container).

Domestic shipping label

If you are shipping out a package with a domestic shipping label, you can stick it to the box with clear tape or use self-adhesive paper.

International shipping label

If you are shipping out a package with an international shipping label, place multiple pages of the shipping label into Customs Form Envelope and stick it to the box. You can get Customs Form Envelopes at USPS or you can order it from USPS website for free.

General Dashboard Instructions

Print out and follow these guidelines every time you process packages.

Note that updates, reports, uploads and downloads are performed on the Dashboard.

1. Track all incoming packages for estimated delivery date through shipping carrier’s website simply by clicking the tracking number on your Dashboard.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT request package pick-up without your managers permission! Wait until drivers will bring it to your door.

2. When you receive a package, confirm it by clicking "Received" in the table named "Status". on your Dashboard. Note that name on packages may not be yours (may have customer’s or shopping manager’s name).

3. Upload a copy (scan it or take a photo) of the packing list from inside the box by pressing the button "Packing List" in the table named "Upload Copies".

Then remove packing list from the box. You can confirm acceptance without uploading a copy only if it’s not in the box.

Also remove return shipping label from the box. Never use included return shipping label to ship a package out.

4. Examine the incoming package. Do not remove product’s original sealing. Take a picture of product and upload it by pressing the button "Photo" in the table named "Upload Copies".

5. Remove all previous shipping labels from inside and outside the box.

6. Remove all warning stickers from the package.

7. Make sure you have removed previous labels and markings (you can remove markings with a heavy black marker), stickers, price tags, invoices and any other papers. Most of the packages are shipped out in the same packaging box in which it has arrived.

8. Place cushioning all around the items. You can use newspaper, or shredded paper. Close and shake the box to see if you have enough cushioning. If you hear items shifting, add more cushioning.

9. Tape the opening of your box and reinforce all seams with tape. Use clear or brown packaging tape, reinforced packing tape or paper tape.

10. As soon as we receive the payment from the customer, the outgoing shipping label is uploaded to your Dashboard (Note that we can keep customer’s packages up to 30 days for free).

11. Once the download button is active, click it to download the shipping label.

12. Print out a copy of the shipping label and stick it properly to the box. (Check Label Placement below).

13. Drop the packages at the nearest USPS, UPS or FedEx office, depending on type of shipping label you’ve been provided. You don’t have to pay anything when shipping packages out! DO NOT request package pick-up without your managers permission! Otherwise FedEx/UPS will charge you for extra services!

14. When a package is shipped out, confirm it by clicking "Sent" in the table named "Status".

15. Upload a copy of the Drop-off Package Receipt by clicking "Drop-off Receipt" in the table named "Upload Copies" if you were provided with one at the shipping carrier’s location (it’s optional).

Important! If a package is delivered but you can’t find it on your Dashboard, you need to report it by clicking "Report Unknown Package" button. Please provide the following: tracking number, name on the package (recipient’s name), weight and brief description of the items.
