Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

Received a message supposedly from Microsoft that my computer was infected with a Trojan virus. Sounded an obnoxious alarm, said to call 1-866-286-7521 immediately to contact Microsoft Tech Support.

My computer was completely locked up. I called number, it rang a few times and line was dead, so hung up, got an immediate call back from a guy claiming to be representing Microsoft Support. He got into my system and said i had many problems. Their Firewall software would stop further infections and they would fix my problem. Charges $179 to fix.
