They call you and tell you they can help you fix your computer. They tell you that Microsoft has reported your computer is affected and their technical services can fix your computer problems. They ask if you can see your computer and say they will use remote access to help you and offer you a range of protection plans from $199 to $499 to protect your computer for up to 3 years. Then they download some anti virus and anti malware programs to your desktop. The software they sell you is no where near the price you are charged.
