Type of a scam Tech Support

While browsing the Internet received a pop up with message to call the Microsoft center and the telephone number to call. Could not close window, so called the support number. After giving control of the computer the perp showed the computer having a Trojan horse that was fixed while in control of the computer. The offer was then made for lifetime protection against viruses, malware, Trojan horses, etc. for the price of $1,999.99 and $1,799.99. So gave the routing number and account number of checking account to perp.

Contacted them for refund and they say that they can only refund the $1,799.99. Pleaded with them further and they said they could refund the $1,999.99. Said the refund would take place in 20 days. Not holding my breath.

Took control, on for 40 min, pick plan to protect, gave check number, 349.99. Another person called released my computer. Put stop on check, took computer to get checked out for any left over programs.
