Type of a scam Tech Support
Called saying they were from the "Computer Security Department" and that my computer was reporting to their database that I had malware reports and they were going to help me.
I knew it was a scam but tried to get more info from them. The guy’s fake name and number were Simon Weston at 845-727-7204.
He wanted me to go to www.takesupport.us and click download software. He then wanted me to report on what I was seeing after the download. When I tried to stall him and get him talking he got angry and said "don’t waste my time, are you interested or not?" After I laughed and said yes, he hung up.
Caller ID was blocked. It was obviously a thick Indian accent.
