On April 6th, 2017, I was searching for local retail vendor events to participate in and came across the 2017 Women’s Expo Tour on the internet. The website had several events listed all over the USA and seemed amazing. I contacted the phone number given and asked if they had a LuLaRoe Consultant for their Joplin, Missouri event scheduled for July 1, 2017 at the Doubletree Hotel. They said they were open for this company and to register via the link provided. After reading all the amazing packages and the option to have several events with them, I decided on the $600 bronze package. It had several perks that were very appealing, which included advertising. I almost immediately received my packet via email. I then heard nothing more from this company. On June 23rd, 2017; I contacted the event coordinator, , via email wanting to know if the event was still going to be held because I no longer saw the event on the upcoming events on their website. She assured me it would happen. She told me that when I registered they made me aware that the hotel was undergoing renovations and they may have to reschedule or find another venue. She would not tell me when or where the event would be rescheduled. She said they were giving the hotel until July 1st (mind you, this was the day the event was to take place) to complete the renovations before they rescheduled. I inquired about where they were advertising and when they knew they wouldn’t be able to have the event there. She would never answer me, she would just say they would keep me in the loop. Then the day before the event, I received an email stating they would have to reschedule for May 19th and October 6th, 2018. I googled the Doubletree in Joplin and they aren’t even set to reopen until July 2018. I told that I knew that she was trying to scam people and requested my money back. I also told her that I would like some answers for my questions if she was indeed with a reputable, valid company…she wouldn’t answer any of my questions. I told her I would contact my lawyer and start the process of filing charges for fraud. At this point I cannot get her to respond to any of my emails. I have contacted my credit card company to do a charge back based on the fraudulent event. I have also tried calling two of their upcoming event locations and they do not have anything booked at the hotels they are advertising their event to be via eventbright.
