Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

We received a rude telephone call from the scammer demanding payment on Toner from 2019 and it’s now 2020! They followed up with a FAKE invoice with payment via Credit Card only. So guess why they want you to pay by credit card – to scam you more. These crooks need to be found and locked up.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

I received a call today from a man named Gary Stevens that claimed to work for Toshiba. He proceeded to tell me that he had a contract with my employer for a toner that fit our copier. He sent an invoice for the amount of $603.82. I proceeded to contact Toshiba and this company is not affiliated with them in any way!

Type of a scam Phishing

We recieved a call from the company that services our office copy machines (or so I thought). They were calling to simply "follow up on a recent service ticket". They gave ME identifying information regarding the service and just asked if the technician did what he was supposed to do, etc. At the end of the call the guy says something along the lines of "By the way, we have your backordered toner in stock now, so a rep from our warehouse should be contacting you soon to confirm your information to get those headed your way". About 30 minutes or so later, sure enough, I get a call from "the warehouse manager". He rattles off a bunch of our identifying information (Machine ID, company name, address, etc) so I have no reason at this point to suspect anything strange. He says they have had some shipping issues lately so he just wanted to make sure everything was correct. Well, everything he read off was correct. I was basically just confirming our info. He says the toners are going out today, and an invoice will be sent soon. I think nothing of it. We get one invoice for $*** THE DAY IT IS DUE. Our AP doesn’t do too much investigating and rushes the check out. About a month later we get another invoice, this one for $***. This raises a red flag and prompts us to do some digging. Turns out Supply Logistics Warehouse is in no way affiliated with our copier service company. We requested a refund on the first invoice from Supply Logistics Warehouse. They refused. We told them we would not be paying the second invoice. They requested their materials back, no problem, done. They CLAIMED we were "red flagged in their system" and we would not be contacted by them anymore. I guess now we’ll just wait and see if any more materials or invoices show up unsolicited from them.
