Received a call from a number with a local area code, was told I won a contest on Instagram, (which I didn’t know anything about), and because I had recently stayed at a Marriott hotel, was offered a travel package and a cruise deal for a ridiculously cheap price. The package included 8 nights and 7 days at an all-inclusive resort in Florida, Cancun, or Thailand plus a bonus offer of an 8 day Caribbean cruise and another 5 days at an all-inclusive resort, all for $1099 for 2 adults & 2 children. I was told I could travel any time I wanted as long as I went on each trip within the next 30 months. All I had to do was pay the full $1099 right there over the phone with a credit card. I said I would like more information before I make a decision so they said to go to their website and it will answer all of my questions. It did not! I asked a second time if they could provide more information such as a brochure or details about what I will be purchasing. Was told all of that information would be provided via mail after I paid for the package. That’s when I hung up.
