"Michael called" reading off of a script saying, "Hello ma’am, you have debt from student loans that you’d like to get rid of, don’t you?" I played along even though I HAVE NEVER HAD A STUDENT LOAN!!! (I am on some list whereas I am getting these calls constantly lately) He asked if I would like help in getting rid of these loans. As in never having to pay them back – not another dime. I said yes, but what is this company? He said they are "Student Loans Services." He went on with his written spiel (obvious he was reading, and I could hear others in the background doing the same to other poor consumers getting the same call as me) and I asked for the company’s address. He said they’re in Santa Ana, CA. I asked for an address and he hung up. I called back, said I was disconnected, asked for an address and was hung up on again. This went on and on – 13 times – until they finally put me in an automatic voicemail system that only played music (nobody ever answered). During one of the more than dozen phone calls back to them I did say I am on the Do Not Call list and they responded (all males,abut 5-6 different ones answered in the course of my calling) saying they’d remove me from their list. He was able to tell me my phone number, which tells me they have caller ID and were able to throw me right into a voicemail when they saw my number come up. Shame on them. Boiler room scam operation. Another time, a male answered and told me they are in Santa Ana, CA. When I asked the address he said "1900 East…." and hung up the line.
