Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

They contacted me via phone and presented themselves as a representative from the department of education. They said I qualified for debt forgiveness and lower yearly fixed rate where I would save thousands of dollars.

They even had access to my loan amounts, I fell for it when they said I would save money over the years.

They said that to qualify for the benefit I had to make a payment towards my loan. At the moment I was struggling but the said that I would not have to make an other payment for the next following year.

A few months later I found out that they payment never went towards my loan so I called the bank and at first the bank responded but then a few months later Student Loan Educators dispute the Bank’s claim, on the argument that they had a signed authorization. And they did because I authorized them undertake pretense that the payment was going towards my loan and towards reducing my interest rate. The bank is Wells Fargo and now they don’t want to be responsible about this.

Type of a scam Debt Collections

This company called me saying they can help me with my student loans. They persuaded me into thinking they were a ligament company from the Department of Education. They were able to get ahold of my records which made me believe them even more. They demanded me to pay $200 up front to process my application, I told them I didn’t have that kind of money. So the women I spoke to understood and said they could except a small payment of $50. Which I paid and they told in order for everything to go through I would need to pay another $750. But they were nicely to tell me they can do payments and wanted my bank account number. So far they took $200 from me and won’t refund it back to me.
