Over a period of 4 days I have received 11 calls on my cellphone from 3 separate phone numbers all claiming they can help with my student debt. I have zero student debt but caller insists that I do even though I haven’t attended any sort of higher education since I graduated from high school.

I played along finally on one of the calls to see what information they wanted. First they ask you to confirm your name and address. Then they ask you to confirm your date of birth. Then they go into their long scripted selling points of all the ways they can help you. If you stay on the line they will tell you that they will transfer you to their supervisor/expert. Once connected to the next person they will continue with a hard sell until they eventually ask for your social security number. At this point I said I didn’t feel comfortable giving that over the phone. They tried a few more times to explain the benefits and always circled back to getting my social security number. When I made it crystal clear I was not going to give out that information they abruptly disconnected the call with no goodbye or other contact information I requested like website or e-mail address. I promptly called back the phone number they called from off my caller ID and it was just the standard operator saying that number has been disconnected.

I am receiving unwanted robocalls to my cell phone. The tape talk fast. Sounds like Student Debt Relief Program. Something about Government changing their policy. I would qualify for a lower interest rate, Government doing away with some type of program. Press a number to speak with a representative, The call annoyed me and I pressed 1. recording wanted to know the total amount of my student debt. I am a senior and I don’t have any debt. Nobody came on the line. they would call back.

Received an email from [email protected] stating to call 866-764-4324 for student debt relief. Only business name I can see listed is Student debt Relief. All the information I can find on this number or service states it is a scam. Not sure if you can do much to stop a business like this but figured I would send an fyi on this business.
