Type of a scam Worthless Problem-solving Service Scam

This company will send a text message claiming that your student loan amount is zero and call a 1 800 number. I called 3 years ago and they set up a plan and I paid them $49 monthly to pay off my student loans only to find out that they made three payments and stopped. I had no idea until I received a garnishment letter from a credit collection agency. I immediately contact them and the phone number and the phone just rings and the voicemail asks for a pin and I then tried to contact through their website and the account has been suspended! I then contact my bank to stop payment and it hasn’t been successful because they will change the amount or the spelling of their name so the payment will go through. I have to file a dispute to have the charges reversed and close my account! T

I was reaching out to find student forgiveness programs that would help me with student loans online. I had read some articles about the president along with the congress had put some federal student loan forgiveness programs into place to has students with their student’s loans. I received a phone call from Riccardo Hairston an Enrollment Advisor who asked a lot of questions and told me that I qualify for the student forgiveness program. I was told that I would be sent some E-documents to sign and that I would later be contacted by Equitable Contract Processing to finished the process. This company is where they would take $49.00 each month along with the $150.00 which started on 8/21/2017 that I had to pay to get things started out of my checking account for the next 3 years and I will be done. After further research, because this account came up on my credit reports as a credit card account owing $2000.00 when I came upon an article about the legal complaints about both of these companies and their partners. None of these payments were applied to my student loan and now that I have not renewed my contract with them my loan shows up on my credit reports as late payments and interest has been attached.

It states, that these companies along with its partner companies saddled with as many as 60,000 consumers "with additional, unnecessary debt on deceptive terms and at usurious rates." It also mentions that hundreds of borrower have filed complaints.

I have reached out to this company by phone only to find out that the phone number is no longer in service

Wanted to save me some money on my bill with navient and said that was elegible for a decrease that would have me paying $49 a month for 3 years and that would be it. I would not have to pay after 3 years of doing that and I would not have to pay anything else.
