Type of a scam Investment

I was contacted by the broker Billy about a resale of a property. I had him send me proposal so my lawyer could look it over , everything looked good so they wrote out a contract that my lawyer also read and approved. That is where the nightmare started, promises about payment after we pay a fee for transfer of the property,payment for taxes,payment for commission etc. Nothing but giving money and broken promises, they actually had an affidavit signed by the CFO with a deadline for payment. Long story short I got screwed. Do not do any business with Stonebridge Private Equity period.
