I’m not sure that I was scammed but I have a feeling that it was a scam… I was online when an error report from Microsoft popped up saying that my computer may have been infected by a virus by the name of VUES or VEUS.. said to call microsoft support at 1-866-530-8291.. I called the number and the man preceded to tell about this virus and other stuff.. he said my computer had been hacked and he could fix it but I would have to allow him in to my computer.. which I did. long story short it took him two hours of doing God knows what on my computer and charged me $199.. I have the receipt in my email from docu sign with verification information.. I’m scared I was scammed!! I immediately canceled our debit cards and notified our bank but worry that it was a scam.
