Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

My name is and I am the mother of . She saw this opportunity for employment through her college (Clayton State University, Morrow, Georgia). She emailed them her interest and the communication started from there. I am sure that there are many other college students wanting to start with this promising opportunity of making $300.00 per week.

I have a cousin that works for a bank and we had her manager to run the account number and this is how we found out that it was a scam. There were other red flags as well, but once we received the checking account number we knew we could find out for sure.
