Was contacted my a Ed St.John via LinkedIn. Profile stated he is the CEO of St. John’s Business Solutions. Checked out the LinkedIn profile, it had very little information. Website is mostly geared towards hiring people rather than recruiting business (SCAM). Upon LinkedIn chat we set up a phone interview. In both areas of communication he very vaguely described what the job was. Which he later said was not a job, but more of a at home money making solution. Invited me to the Fashion Square mall Panera Bread for a chat. He had his Macbook ready with a powerpoint presentation after getting to know me better. I kept asking so what exactly is the job but he gave me the run around saying it wasn’t a job. Finally he put out there that it’s a at home money making solution so you are a 1099 contractor. He asked if that is something I’m interested in and I answered well yea so long as it’s not all smoke and mirrors. He immediately went on the defense acting all insulted that I dare call his business smoke and mirrors since he has been in business for 10 years and his biggest employer is Apple. Look dude, I just want information not the run around. But he couldn’t answer and said we are done here. He then tried to guilt me into saying that you don’t do that on an interview. I laughed at him. First of all everything about this was fishy as heck. And secondly you can’t lecture me about a thing when one day after LinkedIn contact and his profile magically disappears. He looked surprised that I knew that. Then I went further explaining to him that no legit company would delete a professional account, not only that but have zero internet presence. No indeed, no google outside of business website, no glassdoor, no BBB. Nothing. And the position he was hiring for is a leader and of the 100+ people supposedly listed working for him most have the same title. How many leaders do you need Ed? All in all folks watch out for this guy. Sounds like a scheme to keep hiring schmucks to do god knows what and continue recruiting to get ahead. AKA ponzi/pyramid scheme. Doubt anyone got paid, and if they did they had to lie an scheme to get anything. I didn’t last long enough to attend the leadership event to learn more about the "job" either. Oh yea, let’s not forget he doesn’t even have an office. LMAO. What a joke.
