Type of a scam Online Purchase

I used this website to purchase a NHL jersey for Christmas.

After a week had passed, I emailed to ask when the item would ship, because the website said it would ship in 2 days but my order still said processing. At around 4 a.m. EST, I got a response saying it already shipped and I would get a tracking number soon.

This concerned me and I asked if it had already shipped, why can’t I have the tracking number? They responded asking that I wait in which I said if they can’t prove it was sent, I want a refund.

It was at this time that I also noticed some red flags on the website. They misspelled "Reebok" and "Rebook" and even referred to themselves by a different company name at different points on the website.

After my last email, they provided a tracking number, except it did not work. When I told them that, they responded that they would call USPS and figure out the issue, but they never resolved that and the tracking number never worked. I assume they just gave me a bunch of random numbers and letters.

After a few weeks passed, I pointed out that with the processing time and shipping time, my order should have arrived by now. I said this meant it was never shipped and that I still wanted a refund. They continue to tell me to be patient and insist that it was sent, but I still have not received anything.

The company claims to be located in California (that is their offshore office address) but I suspect, taking in to account when they responded to emails, that the "company" is actually in Asia.

Do not purchase anything from Sportsogre or Sports Fever or whatever they try to call themselves later.
