They said it was some suspicious activity with my social security number and when I told the Indian lady if they called me why do they need my social security number and name she hung up on me

The man said i need to cooperate with him over fraudulent activities and if i did not they would start legal charges. My phone number isn’t in my name and isn’t linked to my social security number and every time i asked them to provide me with the social security number they have for me, they couldn’t so he said if i dont want them to start legal action against me i better cooperate. I told them a sherrif lives next door so i could go get him and you can speak to him about your scam and the next thing i knew the man hung up.
