The caller claimed that was past due on my commercial appeal subscription and requested a payment in the amount of $58.22. Because I subscribe to the commercial appeal, I went ahead and provided her with my account number and routing number. I received my bill from the commercial appeal in the mail later that day, and I called the commercial appeal and they stated that no one called me from their office requesting payment. I called my bank and closed the account.
