Type of a scam Online Purchase

We thought we were ordering a french bull dog from a reputable seller. They communicated back and forth via email everything about the dog, and were very thorough in thier responses. They had us sign a bill of sale agreement and send back to them, once they recieved they asked us to send $900 via Zelle or CashAp. Zelle didn’t work so we did CashAp. The agreement stated the seller as Harper Perkins, 908 ******** *****, Lewisville TX 75077 – Ph 912-584-2589. Once it was sent they provided us shipping information on the dog. A shipping company calls us and says the dog is in Missouri for inspection, and the crate was not suitable. They wanted us to send them $1475, and would later refund us $1106…obviously we didn’t pay and we contacted the seller who said they would take care of it. The shipping company involved was United Pets Parcel ([email protected] Ph 580-370-7420) Eventually via back and forth communication, we knew something wasn’t right. The seller stopped communicating, and we tried to request a refund from CashAp, but that got denied by the seller.
