Type of a scam Nigerian/Foreign Money Exchange
I got a letter from from Address PO Box 1000/ C.P. 1000, Markham, Ontario L3P 3N3 from a company called Southgate Professional Inc Ref number UKBP/JS 2016/3W- stating this is an estate settlement letter for $3.8 Million US dollars for a Canadian, Richard Cardile, passed away a few years ago after living for over 2 decades in the UK, leaving money behind but they could not find any kin relations and a database search proved fruitless.
The person who will handle this transaction is a Mr. John Southgate. Upon researching Linkedin, there is no person who works for this company. This company address is listed in the UK as residential apartments.
I also researched online and it is deemed to be a fraud alert and fraudsters use certain phone numbers that are fraudulent. Telephone numbers are: 01144-702-408-3844 or 44-203-026-5974. Fax is: 01144845-874-1921.
