Type of a scam Debt Collections
Got a call that I was receiving a summons. Was told to call back or press 1 after the tone to discuss it. It wasn’t a recording as I could hear them breathing but it acted as one.
When I called back, he had the last 5 of my social and my name. Said Wells Fargo had an account that was open since 2008. He put me on hold to speak with a “lawyer “ about reducing the fee.
He said the lawyer agreed but I had to pay today or post date my payment.

Have received several calls from this number saying that he was from some law firm and that the IRS has filed a suite against me for the amount of $5,000 and, If not heard from me or my attorney they were going to mess me up. Sounded Indian called 3 times in 2 days, called them back and they hung up.
