I was on my laptop last evening about 3-4pm 4-1-18 Softech started work 5:45pm and said it would take two hours, and they called me again saying they were half done, and it should be another hour or half hour and it was about 8p.m. A message came up showing it was from Microsoft and that’s my homepage. Facebook came up when I turned computer on and the message came over it, covering the whole page. I tried to close the computer show and shut it, when I brought it back up it was still there. The message said my system was being attacked by 4 different entities, and it gave me four different names trying to hack into system one was Zieus (something like that), they weren’t businesses, but viruses. The message said to call 1-855-341-5333 and that they could take care of it. They told me a free virus protection could not protect your computer. I called the number they had Indian accents, I was on the phone for hours with them. LA Jacob/Account manager was the woman’s name and title who I talked to. One time she called me it came up with a man’s name and I asked why would it do that, she said because we share and he and I work shifts. Up at the top of my computer screen it showed who was calling me. They took control of my computer. They said they redid everything, wiped out all viruses, and gave me virus protection for one year $175.31, or $279 for 3 years, so I took 3 year protection and paid $175.31 gave check (checking account info over the phone) and have to pay $104 on May 1st. The computer is not right when I go to sign on it is not my regular homepage or anything.
