Type of a scam Phishing

I have received numerous calls from multiple numbers in Stoney Brook, Patchogue, Bay Shore, Brentwood, Mattituck, Riverhead, and Central Islip, New York. The caller claims to be with the Social Security Administration, and there is fraud suspected with my social security number. The caller then asks for my name. My response was if you’re calling me with suspected fraud, you should have my name. The line went dead. The next time I received a call, I mentioned that I was aware this is a scam, and I was going to report them to the authorities. The caller boldly told me to report them, and tried to keep me on the line asking what else was I going to do. I hung up the phone. Since then, I’ve received calls several times a day from multiple phone numbers. It’s definitely borderline harassment. I’ve blocked the numbers each time they call, but they continue to call from different numbers. Hopefully, this group can be traced and stopped before someone actually provide their personal information to them.
