Please call us at (443) 329-9039, I repeat, this is the Social Security Administration and we need to speek to you as soon as possible. Please call us at (443) 329-9039."

An automated message asked me to press one to speak with someone about my hacked social security number. They said there was "suspicious activity" involving my SS# and asked me to call 480-565-6032 to speak with someone. The give-away other than asking for my SS# was they told me to "have a blessed" day.

A robo called between 9am-1:pm 6 times on 07/21/2020. They hit my answering machine each time leaving a v-mail saying there had been illegal activity on my Social Security account and I should call them immediately. They would be suspending and closing my account unless I resolve this issue immediately and call them back at ************. I never picked and never called back. I just wanted to let you know so you can warn others. I reported it to the FTC already.

This fradulent number calls me & the recording says there is a warrant out for my arrest for fraudulent behavior and that there is a federal database that they are referring to in regards to my Social Security number. Then, they say press one for a poll taker and then I do so and they hang up on me. They called me a few minutes prior to this from a different number doing the same thing!! So, obviously they are trying to scare people to to no end. I am not falling for it.I realize I do not have to answer these numbers to listen to this crap. But, that is not my point here. My point is that they could actually scare elderly etc. and my other point is this applies to me because I’m trying to figure out how they got my number. I would like to know how they got my number So that I can cancel whatever I have signed up for regarding how they got my number.

Total money lost $1,700

Type of a scam Identity Theft

The man started off saying their was 3 other people using my social number. Told me there is also several credit cards under it, there has been a car found on the side of the road with drugs & blood. It was traced back to a home were they found the credit cards, then said looks like bank accounts also. They are calling this drug trafficking so we will have to supsend your old number and will send you a new one in 48hrs. He advised me in order to take care of this, if I have any accounts too take it out and to place it on cards. So they won’t mistake it as drug money. Give them the numbers and the funds will be returned in 48hrs. Said he will transfer me too Officer David Budd to take care of the warrant. Once it was done, I had to put it on 4 different prepaid cards 2 $500 and 2 $350. He then stated because I am an Officer this call is monitored. I am on a Fixed Income & Have Lupus I just can’t take this loss, please please help me.

I was first called by these people and they asked for my social and when i refused to give it to them and told them i thought they were a scam I was cussed out. The second time they called I asked for manager and was told I did not need a manager because I was going to jail The third time I asked them to quit calling me at work and was told that he would call me all night if he wanted. they have now called my cell that i use for work every hour. I continue to block the numbers and refuse to answer the calls at this point but this is harassment at this point. I need help and changing my cell is not an option as this is my work contact as well.

They call from above number (we screen our calls and do not answer) and leave a message to the effect that our social security number has been compromised and we need to call their number to remedy the problem. Of course, there is NO problem and they are merely phishing for personal information. We completely ignore ANY call from ‘Social Security’ as the real organization will never initiate contact with you via phone or test message.

They called me on 10.30.2019 at 5:29pm CST, I called back because they did not leave a message (at 5:30pm CST) I was on the phone for 4:16 minutes – they kept asking me questions regarding my DOB & SSN – I did not provide any information to them, then they called back at 5:35pm CST 2 times.

I know better than to provide any information to anyone over the phone, plus IRS, any federal/government agency does NOT call on the phone – they send via US Mail.

I called Pensacola Sheriff’s department and spoke with Shalonda at dispatch at 850.436.9620, and she provided me your information to call Scam Tracker to report this plus when I called today (because you were closed) I was directed to go to this website.

If you need to speak to me, I will be more than happy to provide more information if needed at 850.619.1732.

Thank you in advance.
