I received a letter from PG & E stating they "received a request to change your gas commodity supplier from Pacific Gas and Electric Company to a third party gas supplier. . ." I called PG & E and they stated that Smart One Energy LLC stated that I had authorized this. At no time was I ever contacted by Smart One Energy for anything. I did not authorize this change. PG&E stated I had to call Smart One Energy to tell them; however, Smart One Energy does not answer their telephone and there are many many complaints against this company. For example: "In September 2014, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Smart One Energy, LLC for allegedly using a deceptive bait-and-switch sales model. Specifically, plaintiffs claim, among other things, that the company misleadingly represents customers who switch to Smart One as their energy supplier will save on their energy bill when, in reality, the customers’ energy bill will substantially increase. (Oladapo et al v. Smart One Energy, LLC, Case No. 14-cv-07117, S. D. NY.)." This company never even contacted me to get my permission to switch–they just told PG&E they did. They are deceptive liars.
