Type of a scam Online Purchase

On Jan 21, 2017, I saw a fraud report on Skin Royale. I had purchased the free samples on 12/25/2016, and was charged just for shipping. I was positive there was no further commitment according to everything I could read. After reading the fraud report, I called Skin Royale company, and indeed they said I was charged for the full amount of 89.95 and 86.95 because I did not call within 14 days to cancel. I complained and said that I was not aware of this cancellation process and did, in fact, think that there was no further obligation. I even read that to my husband the day I ordered it.

The Skin Royale representative said he could give me a 30% refund since I was unaware of the 14-day cancellation process. I complained and explained how angry I was, said I was going to call my credit card company and hung up on him. He called me back and offered my 50% credit on my card. I told him I was still going to call my credit card company and he said if I did that I would not get any credit at all. I again complained and asked how I would know he would credit my card. He said I would get an email and that the credit would appear in 3–5 business days. I said goodbye and hung up and called VISA customer service.

I disputed the charges and the card was cancelled.
