Type of a scam Credit Cards

I was contacted by this company promising a low credit card rate and the newest credit card processing equipment.. When the equipment arrived ,it was old, heavy and outdated.. I then stopped all action with this company and returned the equipment( and have receipts). I never processed any credit cards with them as I saw them as scammers.and stayed with my previous company. Today I received a letter demanding $216.85, claiming this is my third and final notice..never heard from them since returning the equipment.
