I was responding to a local Craigslist ad to re-home an older dog when this person asked me to go to their website listing several puppies available for adoption. The puppies were far below asking price for this breed ($500, when most breeders request $2,500+). Nevertheless, I emailed using the online form about one of the puppies available for adoption. The person in question asked me cursory questions in broken English. When I asked what his role was in securing the home for the dog that was listed locally on Craigslist, he stopped contact. Upon further digging, I googled the domain of his website, which was established about 10 days prior. The "team" listed on the website is composed of stock images. You can mouse over the CEO who is the "Brian behind their success". The contact number is from the Arlington, VA region, but the domain of the website was listed in Panama.
