I received a call this morning from Senior Medical. They asked for my husband. I told the caller my husband passed away recently. The caller hung up. I called the number back. It is not in service. The number in my caller ID was 216-220-3402 Ohio Call.

Multiple calls claiming that a request had been submitted to Medicare for a free brace to elevate pain. Asked to be removed from the list several times; they continue to call. I am not a senior, nor on Medicare.

It was a call about medical braces, I wear a brace on my ankle. He already had information about me and I had just woke up and I didnt realize it was probably a scam till my mind cleared up after waking more.

I’m not sure what to do now because he has my medicare number, name, and address. I feel stupid actually.

For the last 3 months I have received at least 3 calls a day, up to 12 calls a day.  I called his office and left a message to contact me. They have called me a ***, ***t, etc. when I have asked for name of the company, website and other questions and they hang up and then continue to call back. The first call is usually a recording and it comes from someone named Nancy. I have selected 9 to be taken off their calling list and it doesn’t work they continue to call and the persons name is usually Patrick. I have told them to stop calling and then they call more. As I am writing this I just got another call that is the 13th call today.

FOR LAST 3 OR 4 MONTHS, WE GET SEVERAL PHONE CALLS A DAY FROM THIS SO-CALLED MEDICARE PROVIDER SAYING WE WILL LOSE MEDICARE BENEFITS IF WE DON’T ANSWER. SO WE HAVE ANSWERED SEVERAL TIMES TELLING THE CALLER WE DO NOT WANT OR NEED ANY OF THEIR SO-CALLED SPECIAL DEALS. WE ALSO TOLD THEM TO REMOVE US FROM THEIR CALL LIST, AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEN THE CALLS INCREASE. MY MOTHER WHO IS 85, KEEPS FEARING SHE WILL LOSE HER MEDICARE BENEFITS. I FEAR SHE WILL EVENTUALLY SIGN UP FOR THIS JUST TO STOP THE CALLS.

Scam uses a spoofing telephone number and caller ID that involves the same exchange number for my city. It looks like you are getting a call from someone in your city to town. Call is automated and directs the person to press 1 for a free brace from Medicare or press 9 too unsubscribe. I pressed 9 several times but the call frequency increased. I then spoke directly to a representative and asked them not to call me again but got 4 additional calls after I made that request. Today when I received another call, pressed 1 and asked the representative the name of the company he stated Senior Medical. He then as me for my social security number, which I did not provide. Said I didn’t want to give him this info over phone and he started to push harder for the info. I did not comply and he hung up on me.

Multiple calls in a single day. Multiple phone numbers show up for the scammer always starting with my area code. They say they are your medicare advocate and that if you don’t talk to them you may be denied medicare coverage. When you select #9 to have them put you on a do not call list it automatically takes you to a person. I spoke with 2 different people today and when I told them what they were doing was illegal they terminated the call. I did not receive anymore calls this afternoon. I did not try to call them back so I don’t know if the phone numbers were really theirs or not. In the past, I have had phone calls (don’t know if from the same people) from numbers that had my area code (Illinois though I live in Texas) and first 3 numbers but they were not real, making it impossible to block. In fact, one time it looked like I was calling myself. I laughed at that one.

Multiple calls per hour. Different phone numbers. Female voice says "This is Nancy with Senior Medical. We have been trying to contact you…". The message goes on to state you can receive a medical grade brace or other benefits but your time is running out and you will be listed as unavailable if you do not act. You are then instructed to press 1 to speak with a representative or press 9 to be put on the do not call list. No matter which number you press, you are connected to a pushy salesperson that begins demanding personal information. As soon as you deviate from the expected response, you are instantly disconnected. You then receive another call within the hour. This has been going on for three weeks and shows no sign of stopping.

I got a voice mail call yesterday which said "If you do not return this call to 614-363-2032, you will be placed on a list and your Medicare benefits will be denied". I called them back, and asked who they were. He said they were Senior Medical in Columbus, OH. He said because I was on Medicare I was eligible for a back or knee brace. I asked how was my Medicare going to be denied. He said they would put me on a list not to be called.

I think my husband was involved in a scam he gave all his information thinking he was talking to veterans worker….he gave his ss # and birth date….he is older and didn’t realize he was doing the wrong thing…..what are the suggestions he needs to do to get things back on the right track…..He ordered a shoulder brace from a so called Senior Medical company……he was told that Medicare will cover it…I checked out the number it comes up it is a scam….thererfore I am reporting it to you so you can check this out for us to confirm. When I call that number I don’t get anything…..954-903-9374 ( it came up somewhere in Florida)…
