Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I Have Received An Offer From The Sedgwick Federal Government For Check For $30,000.00 For Retired Workers, Disability Compensation, Etc. The Person That Contacted Me Is Yvonne Howard, Online Claim Agent For Sedgwick Compensation Board. She Wants Me To Send, John A Littleford, Of Manhatten, Kansas 66502 A MoneyGram In The Amount $850.00. I Do Not Think These Checks Are Real. So I Took Down The Reff. Number: AG240/78223. The Batch Number: 283070001GRD. I Don’t Know If This Is A Scam Or Not, But An Elderly Couple Paid The $850.00 Payment And Received A $30,000.00 Check. I Ask Her What She Did With The Check. She Cashed It And Paid Her Mortgage, Car Note And Some Other Bills With That $30,000.00. I Hope The Check Was Good. I Have Not Lost Any Money. I Am Afraid To Pay The $850.00 Payment Because The Check Might Bounce. Do You Have Any Ideas How To Check This Out Before More People Get Scammed. Thanks For All Of Your Help Look To Hearing From You Soon. Sincerely Yours, Tony ***. ***
