He advertised split firewood for sale to be delivered. I contacted him and set up delivery. The wood I received was covered in snow, every single piece, and about 1/3 of the logs were either not split at all or the log was split once into pieces that were far too big to be usable in a stove or fireplace. I have only burned the wood purchased from this vendor and now have major creosote build up to the point where I get so much backdraft I can’t use my woodstove (even with both dampers wide open). The stove pipe and flue are brand new, and they along with the chimney cap are caked in creosote from burning the wet/green wood I was sold. I’ve atrenpted to contact him to make him aware of the issue and my complaints, including a photo of my chimney cap. He initially responded and apologized, offering to “make it right” by bringing me better wood. He never brought the better wood and has not contacted me or responded to messages about the matter since. I’m now forced to purchase and use fuel and propane to complete tasks that I would normally use the woodstove for.
