I received a call from a young sounding woman saying that I had to be available tomorrow(July 16 2015) between 8 and 10 am for a court date. She first asked me if I was available at that time and when I said no, she said I had to call and reschedule so I wouldn’t be reported as a "failure to appear". When I said I hadn’t received anything so I wasn’t a "failure" she replied "oh no I just meant you needed to reschedule. I’m going to give you a number to call." She gave me the name Scott Lenovo (she spelled it to me) and Associates and the number: 855-297-4027. She gave me a reference number also. I asked her when I could call to reschedule and she said, "between 8 and 10." Originally she told me that my court time was between 8 and 10. I said, "no, no when can I call today?. How late are they open?" She hesitated and said "I think 3 or 4 pacific time." I asked what that was in my time zone and she said "I think that"s 6 or 7 your time." She made me repeat the phone number back to her to make sure I got it right and then she ended the call. I believe she thought I would call back. The call was from a private number and I couldn’t find a website for the business. I did not call back and don’t plan to, but she was quite convincing in the beginning of the conversation. She was rather rude until I indicated that I would call. Then she was very pleasant. The entire experience was very unnerving. It was only after I ended the call that the discrepancies became noticeable to me. She never indicated what the court appearance involved but the reference number gave me the idea that they would try to say I owed someone money. The only personal information I gave her was confirmation of my name and address when I answered the phone.
