Type of a scam Online Purchase

It first started when I received a phone call from a man named Scott Edwards. He told me he w[censored]ding a pop up gallery called the “Elevated Lifestyle Wynwood pop up market” for Art Basel at Roberto Clemente Park on December 10th 2017. He asked if I wanted to vend there. I said I’d think about so he sent me an email with the 2 different types of tables he offered for artists. They were a 6×4 for $275 and a 10×10 for $450. The email also had his phone number and a link to his Q&A for his company called, Lifestyle Entertainment Solutions. I contacted him a couple days later saying that I would like to purchase the 6×4 but I need more time. He told me that I have until the end of November but the tables are going fast. I paid the following week. After I paid he also said that I needed to send him a brief Bio, images of my artwork, and my logo. Once I sent him that via email I never got a reply back from him. A few days later I emailed him asking if he received my information and that I had a couple questions about the show and start time. He responded saying yes he got the information and that if I had any questions to call him.

The week of Art Basel I received a message from an artist/friend of mine who was supposed to go to the same show. They told me to not go, that it was a scam. They said they emailed him asking about the show, and he emailed them back saying that the show was cancelled because of the insurance not being accepted by the city of Miami, and that he would get our money back. I never received this email. I called him that night and he picks up the first time, but when I asked could I speak to Scott he hung up the phone. I then called 3 more times and he didn’t answer. The next day I called Roberto Clemente Park. When I told them about the pop up gallery they said they have no idea what I was talking about. They said there was never an event scheduled for Art Basel that weekend. I then looked up his name and business online to see if there was others scammed as well. I didn’t find anything under his username @lifestylescott. But in the Q&A he sent us, I noticed he put a different user name for at the bottom called @ELv8scott. When I clicked the link it came up undefined. But when I put the username into twitter it was still connected to his original Twitter account, I also found several people who were scammed by him under the same username.

When I showed up to Roberto Clemente Park on December 10th, there was no elevated pop up market. There was a separate organization that was painting the walls of the park. When I asked them about Scott and the Pop up gallery, they also had no idea who Scott was or his company.
