Type of a scam Employment

I was found by this employer through Colorado Connections – the State of Colorado Unemployment talent pool. An online interview was scheduled and a job offer was made. The description sent to me gave the company information, benefits package, and the offer of $13.00 per hour during 2 week training to $35.00 per hour upon completion and start of employment. It looked normal and the pay did seem more than the usual offer for an Executive Assistant position. Online research showed that Dr. *** is an actual doctor in New Jersey and the company website matched the description. I was told that 5 new locations are opening in Denver and 20 persons were being hired.

I started on November 2, 2017. It was agreed that I would work from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. No account information was asked for, But a check for $3150.00 was sent to my house by Fedex on Friday morning and I was asked to deposit it into my checking account. I became suspicious as I began receiving pressure to deposit the check that day and was asked to withdraw cash and take it to a Wells Fargo branch. I expressed discomfort in this and was then instructed to make wire transfer transactions to a Ben Paul and a Lisa Bell for the total amount of transactions. I was apprehensive about this and made that clear, but did so, since the funds were not mine and I did not want to hold them any longer. I was told that these persons are vendors to purchase a desk, office equipment, and software to be IT installed for the job. I have been told that the office will be set up on or before November 9, 2017. I am still very suspicious and will accept any help to validate this situation since even after being gieven explanation, I am still very skeptical.
