Scherzberg Family Frenchies advertises the sale of French Bulldog puppies. I got in touch with them and inquired about 2 of their females. They told me Sophie was already sold, but LouLou was still available. Arrangements were made to purchase LouLou. When I went to transfer the money thru. Zelle, it would not go thru. It said the bank had put a hold on it until they spoke with me. I let Scherzberg Family Frenchies know, so they suggested I send the money thru CashApp. I tried, but because I had never used it before, the $900.00 would not go thru. They then told me they were getting a lot of serious inquiries about LouLou and wouldn’t be able to hold her much longer. I got my boyfriend to send the money thru his CashApp since he has used it for awhile, and the money went thru. Just then I got a call from my Bank’s Fraud Department advised me not to transfer the money. They told me the name given to me to transfer the money to was not the person’s real name, and they were 100% sure I would not get a dog. I immediately contacted Scherzberg Family Frenchies and demanded my money back. They told me they would refund it, less $100.00 for their wasted time. I didn’t get my money. The next excuse was Dan Scherzberg was in a meeting and would send it to me once he was out. Then I was told they spent my money and they were waiting for a refund from their airfare which they never purchased. The next day the telephone number I had for them was disconnected. Two weeks later an additional $500.00 was taken from our CashApp with no notice, and CashApp can’t tell us who hacked us and got our money!

They falsely advertise puppies for sale and ask for payments to be forwarded via Zelle or Cash App. Once, they contact you via text all the information about the puppy and delivery they ask for the money. In our case we used Zelle. The Zelle account info was to be sent to : [email protected] with the phone number (336)904-9499.

Then they tell you they’re getting all information together and will delivery the dog via airplane and puppy to be picked up from airport.

Then, 1-2 hours later, they text back asking for additional monies for a thermal crate due to Covid-19. That’s a scam as well.

When you request to get your monies back, they get silent. Then they say they never received the money. That’s a lie!

Please put the masses on alert about the above information.

This is a website selling puppies- French Bulldog puppies. The website has a "Contact Us" button, and I filled it out and was contacted via email from Danielle Scherzberg asking me for my cell phone number so they could send me pictures of the puppy I was interested in. The man’s name I was texting back and forth with was Dan Scherzberg. He sent me 6 pictures of Toby, one of the puppies listed on their website. He said they were located in Fort Myers, Florida and wanted to ship the puppy to us. He said the puppies are $750, shipping is $150 for airport pickup and $200 for home delivery. He wanted me to send $950 via Zelle or the CashApp & said shipping is done 2 days after confirmation of payment, but there would be no contract. He wanted me to send payment to James (who is apparently in charge of finances), his email is [email protected], but then he changed it, so I’d send the money to Anthony Che, his email is [email protected] Things seemed really fishy, so I researched further and found a ton of complaints online that this is a scam. I text Dan, "It looks like there a lot of complaints that this is a scam. We are not going to move forward." I haven’t heard back from him at all.
