They had someone call me and tell me that I had legal documents coming to me and that I needed to contact this other number 919-336-0017(called back fast busy signal), I called the 888 they said they needed to get my file and left me on hold for 10 minutes. They did know the last 4 digits of my ssn which caused me to panic and contact the bbb. They did not have the opportunity to ask for money, I hung up before they had a chance to ask for any monetary valued items or give them any information.

I received a phone call from a number listed in Cary, NC (919-336-0009) Informing me that a process server was 1attempting to serve me legal documents in regards to a law suit. The individual on the line stated that she did not have any further information, and that I should call the number provided (888-220-3440) within one hour for further information. Upon establishing contact with a male individual at the aforementioned number, I was informed that I was being sued by Sprint Local Home Service for an alleged past due amount in excess of $600.00 (US) for a home phone account that I had in NC between January of 1992 and June of 1995 that was satisfied in full.

This is a phishing scam attempting to extort money from me under threat of legal suit. I have, in my possession, a recent copy of my credit report which contains no information whatsoever regarding Sprint. Further still, knowing the mortgage lending process as I do, any outstanding balance would not only be a singular source of loan denial, but would also carry a requisite for satisfaction prior to loan approval. This scam company needs to be investigated thoroughly and made to submit its for redress to the State of California, and the citizens of the United States. We expect fair and honest practices from persons and corporate entities representing themselves as such. I am a retired Officer of US Marines. As such, I fully understand the responsibilities of any individual or corporate entity representing itself as such, and I take great offense to the unscrupulousness and dishonesty of SCG Consulting. Any assistance your offices can provide in addressing this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
