Type of a scam Online Purchase

Was trying to get a refund from PayPal. I clicked a link for a customer service number without double checking and the peopl i spoke to claimed to be PayPal customer service. They said they were doing a promotion with google play and when you purchased a google play card they would refund you the price plus the refund PayPal owes. After i gave them the google play code they claimed i needed to purchase another card because there was an issue with that one. I was unable to return the cards from where they were purchased because the code was already used.
