After being locked out of the house at 10:30 at night on 10/11/18, I called Santos Locksmith. He arrived quickly. He was unable to open the lock on the doorknob and had to drill it. He then told me he had to replace the doorknob even though I already had a deadbolt lock on the door. He told me it was the law. I didn’t have enough cash so I had to pay by credit card. There was a 10% fee for using a credit card! The fee for the service call, opening the door, and the inconvenience fee was $194. The fee for the new doorknob and installation was $106. Total: $300 Credit Card fee: $30. I feel the fee for the doorknob and installation was exorbitant. I could have bought a doorknob the next day and installed it myself. I could have understood a 3 or 4% fee for using a credit card but 10% I feel was ridiculous. Attached is a copy of the invoice. I was in Columbus babysitting my grandchildren and got locked out.
