Type of a scam Employment

I was contacted via email regarding a possible job offer. The recruiter said my resume was found via ZipRecruiter, an employment service through which I have been applying for work. I was asked to have an interview via Google Hangouts. One question asked was regarding my bank account (to assess my time management!), but I said I was uncomfortable with that question and did not answer it. I was give a job offer and did provide i.d. (CDL) and proof of address (utility bill.) When I emailed these scanned items to the recruiter and "HR," the emails bounced back: the domain couldn’t be found, although I had communicated with the recruiter with her email previously. The interviewer did receive the info. I’ve been offered a job working from home at $28 per hour, $22 during training. I’ve been told I will receive a $50 check for completing a task (writing about a data entry problem I’d had and how I’d solved it. Now the interviewer is saying I will receive fund to purchase equipment and a "home office set-up." This whole process has seemed a bit shady, but I looked up the company, and even online reviews regarding work there. I haven’t given any other personal info than my i.d., but that is cause enough for me to be concerned. I did sign a letter accepting the job, and emailed that.
