The scammer had a business proposal, requested a bid and offered just enough information to keep up a conversation. He stated he was in the hospital recovering from COVID. After we sent a bid, he accepted and asked if when he sent our down payment, if he could send extra so we could arrange to get the money to another party involved in the project. At this point we knew the project was a scam.
