I was told that a local Sam’s Club was hiring, so I had googled "Sams Club Jobs". I mistook the first link as an actual Sam’s club website. After putting in my phone number and email address, I was called by a "recruiter" who took ALL of my personal information for an "application". They also forwarded me to an "educational opportunity" recruiter, who wanted to get my personal info for tuition fees. I immediately started receiving dozens of spam, scam and virus emails to my work address (that I have kept spam free for 8 years all emails pictured were not recieved before this call). I was also added to many job notification emails that ask me to put in my last 4 of my social to apply for the job listed (I’m not of course, but it just looks like a job listing). Many do not include unsubscribe buttons. This has been so frustrating.
