Type of a scam Employment

I submitted my resume to this "company" for a work at home opportunity. I received an email back from "Mark Boozer" who said to give him a good day and time to call. He then called me and I was away from my phone he left a message. I called back the very next day and he seemed confused caught off guard said he would have to call me back he was away from his computer. Never heard back from him so I called him today in regards to my resume that I submitted and he said I don’t know you and hung up. I then forwarded his email that he sent me and he responded back as follows "Sorry I didn’t remember you. I did leave a message a week ago and have left over 2 dozen since. I was on a very important phone call at the time and did hang up to get back to it, again I am sorry for that.

I received about 400 resumes and cannot remember all that I tried to contact, especially from a week ago."

Very odd in my opinion and totally unprofessional if this is not infact a scam
