I am selling my car and got many text messaging all in the same format saying mostly the same message. Sent minutes apart. I recognized the scam Immediately because I had a gut feeling that it did not feel right. They asked for a SAV report and a RN report with do not have anything to do with vehicles. They also said I call pull it up on runhistoryreport.com and when I search that website online the first thing that pops up is scam which confirmed my suspicion and led me to this website.

Type of a scam Rental

Found rental property on rentals.com and contacted the email provided on rental post. After filling out renters application and was approved via email, homeowner wanted to proceed with lease agreement and receive first months rent and deposit. When we asked for a walk through, homeowners response was that he couldn’t until the lease was signed and payment was received. After the sketchy response, we searched this property on the internet and found the real estate company the house was being advertised through with the rent twice as much as scammer advertised. We contacted the real estate agent directly who verified that the rental property was twice as much and that the original post we came across was probably a scam.

Type of a scam Phishing

This person called my private cell phone pretending to know me. He said he believed I had a house to sell and didn’t care the condition of the house because he was willing to pay cash. It quickly became clear that this was a random dialer of sorts, because he said "if I made a mistake, I apologize but if you have a house to sell, or know someone else who does to please call me back". This may not be completely fraudulent, but he is using a fake premise to talk to people.
