This person telephoned my mother to say that my mother’s granddaughter had been in a car accident which she hit another car in the back and is in jail for drinking while driving. The person also said that the granddaughter had broken her nose. This person needed $1000 to help get the granddaughter out of jail.

We called the granddaughter and she is fine and not in jail or had a car accident. I also call the jail and they had no one with that name in jail.
