My camper was advertised for sale on the internet. Lee Carter from RV Now contacted me and suggested I rent it through his company located in Michigan. After several discussions regarding the legitimacy of his business (via email), as well as proof of what he described to me, I decided to rent my camper through Lee’s company, RV Now. A fully executed contract is in place that includes Lee’s signature and mine. One term, of many, in the contract was for me to receive payment of 40% of the proceeds each time my camper is rented and paid by the 20th of each month. Lee has had possession of my camper since November of 2017. Today is 7/11/18 and I have received no payments. A check was sent to me in April for March’s rentals of $476 and bounced due to non sufficient funds, which cost me fees charged by my bank. Lee stated I would be sent another check and to date, have not received another. I have tried to contact Lee at least five times via email (same email address he used when initially contacting me) and have left several messages via the phone number they have listed on their website. Upon further research, there are numerous negative reviews on the internet explaining the same situation I am currently experiencing. I have contacted the authorities in the area and they have stated this is a civil matter, but made record of it. I live five hours away from RV Now and believe Lee chooses not to respond to any of my requests for help due to the distance. I have never experienced such a blatant disregard for a customer’s trust and requests for help. RV Now simply does not care about their customers and doing business in an ethical manner.
