My boyfriend and I were looking for a puppy. I was drawn in by adorable pictures of pug puppies. I emailed the “breeder”, as there was no phone number or address. I was initially suspicious when I got the response at a weirdly late hour. The grammar was suspicious—it reminded me of the old email scams from the 90s from a prince. I hope people don’t fall for this.

The website is a scam…they wanted me to send $350 before I even saw a contract. They wanted it sent via Western Union. I had a bad feeling and decided not to go thru with it. The email context was not good english.
