Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

On 9/16, I had just returned from vacation. I received a call confirming a black ink cartridge purchase and the address where it needed to be shipped. I agreed, thinking it was our normal place we order from and my substitute had placed an order. On 9/30 we receive an invoice with a bill of $643.99 and it’s due 10/1. I call our normal place that we get our ink from and they tell me they know nothing about this. I call the number on the invoice knowing something shady is happening. The first thing they do is have me listen to a recording of me confirming the order. I keep asking when the original order was placed and if there is a recording of that. I just get an angry gentleman at this point, telling me the order in place when I confirm it. Well, doesn’t that sound like complete nonsense? I ask to speak to a manager at some point and he finally says that his manager will call me back. A minute later, his "manager" calls me back. He sounds just like the man I was talking to before, with the same temperament! The caller ID also comes up anonymous. I’m getting frustrated because of how this man is behaving and finally hang up. He calls over and over again. The final time he says he’ll send me a shipping label and not charge me. I told him enough times that he can just send me to collections because upon Googling his business I see it doesn’t even exist so we can’t really go to collections when there’s no business anyways! The shipping label did have a completely different address than the one on the invoice. The one on the invoice doesn’t exist.
